Fair & Accountable Property Taxes

A small wooden house model placed on a table, next to a pen and some papers with a calculator in the background.
Montanan’s need a property tax system that works for everyone—not just for those who know how to work around it. I’ll fight to close loopholes, ensure programs are used as intended, and protect hardworking Montanans from carrying an unfair burden.
As a state appraiser, I’ve seen firsthand how property values are determined—and how those values directly impact what you pay in property taxes. I believe taxpayers deserve clear, honest information about how that process works, and I’ll work to bring more transparency and understanding to a system that too often feels confusing and unfair.

Strong Community Partnerships

Real progress happens when everyone has a seat at the table. I’ll be a strong, steady voice bringing together our City, County, Tribal, and State leaders—because when we work together, our communities thrive.
Too often, important decisions are made in isolation, and that creates unnecessary division and missed opportunities. I’ll work to strengthen relationships between local governments, Tribal governments, state agencies, and community members by prioritizing open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect. Strong partnerships mean smarter solutions, better services, and a stronger Montana for everyone.

Education & Healthcare

Our families depend on quality education and accessible healthcare. I’ll stand up for our teachers, support our hospitals, and ensure every community—no matter how small—has access to the services they deserve.
When our schools are supported, our kids have real opportunities. When our hospitals are strong, our families have peace of mind. I’ll work to make sure our educators have the resources they need to succeed, while also supporting trade education and workforce training programs—so that all of our neighbors have multiple pathways to build successful, meaningful careers.

Backing Our Local Economy

Farmers, ranchers, and small businesses are the backbone of Montana. I’ll fight to support those who feed us, employ us, and keep our communities alive—because when they succeed, we all succeed.
Our local economy isn’t driven by big corporations—it’s driven by the farmers and ranchers who feed our communities, and the small business owners who provide jobs, services, and stability. It is important to reduce unnecessary burdens, encourage smart growth, and make sure our local businesses, farms, and ranches can thrive for generations to come.

Protecting Our Public Lands

Our public lands are part of who we are as Montanans. I’ll work to keep them in public hands, protect access for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation, and ensure they are responsibly managed for future generations.
These lands support our way of life, our economy, and our heritage. I believe in balancing conservation with practical use—making sure our public lands remain accessible, well-managed, and preserved so future generations can experience the same opportunities we enjoy today.
